Dobbs Ferry Man Accused Of Having 3+ Pounds Of Pot

Police initially pulled the man over for vehicle and traffic violations.

DOBBS FERRY, NY — A traffic stop on the Thruway led to the arrest of a Westchester man. State police said Eric S. Gordon, 43, of Dobbs Ferry, was stopped on I-87 in the Town of Woodbury for multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

After speaking with him, troopers said they found probable cause to search his vehicle.

Gordon was found to be in possession of about 51 ounces of marijuana, just over 3 pounds, police said.

Additionally, he possessed several vape cartridges weighing a total of 331 grams.

Gordon was arrested and taken to the Newburgh barracks where he was charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony, fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, unlawful possession of marijuana and several vehicle and traffic violations.

He was arraigned in the Town of Woodbury Court and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond.

A return court date of June 26 has been scheduled.
