Struck by a car March 3, he was "a unique individual who made people happier."

The Dobbs Ferry man, hit by a car a week ago while crossing Ashford Avenue, died Thursday.

Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner said, in an email message, that Paul Golio, 52, passed away from injuries sustained when he was struck head-on by a car March 3.

“To those who knew him, our community won’t be the same,” Feiner said. “Paul was a unique individual who made people happier.”

“We are confident that his pain was finally ease,” they said. “In the days to come, as we grieve, keep Paulie’s sense of love and humor in your heart.

“Paul is now walking his little dogs once again over the rainbow bridge.”

Golio was the office manager at Dobbs Ferry Animal Hospital, in addition to being an actor and ventriloquist.

As of Friday morning, more than $42,000 had been pledged by 618 people on the GoFundMe page.

Feiner said that at the next meeting of the town board there will be a moment of silence in honor of Golio.

“We need to make our communities more pedestrian friendly so that tragedies like this won’t happen again,” Feiner said.
