Con Ed Making Repairs; Parked Vehicles Can Be Picked Up: UPDATE

Some vehicles were damaged and owners should call the police.

UPDATE, 7:40 p.m.: From the Town of Greenburgh — Please be advised that Con Ed will be making restoration repairs in parking Site D this evening. This lot is the one east of the train station and south of Fennimore Road. All commuter vehicles will be accessible for pick up. At least eight vehicles were damaged in parking lot D. Please call Greenburgh Police at 914-989-1700 to report if your vehicle was damaged.


UPDATE: Service on the Harlem Line has resumed. However, both north- and southbound trains are experiencing up to 60-minute delays.


EDGEMONT, NY — A Town of Greenburgh vehicle struck a utility pole in Edgemont causing a road closure and delays on Metro North. According to Greenburgh Police Chief Brian Joseph Ryan, the incident was on Pipeline Drive in Edgemont, causing wires to fall onto the Metro-North train tracks.

He said the utility pole is blocking the roadway on Pipeline Drive.

There were no reported injuries.

Pipeline Drive is temporarily closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic from the Hartsdale train station south to Edgemont Circle.

Metro-North Railroad said that Harlem Line service between North White Plains and Hartsdale is currently delayed due to the pole on the tracks. Customers should listen for announcements at their stations.
