Dows Lane Closes Friday Due To Person With Coronavirus Infection

IRVINGTON, NY — An individual at Dows Lane Elementary School in the Irvington district tested positive for the new coronavirus.

As a result, the elementary school was closed Friday for in-person instruction, according to a notice on the district's website.

Students of the school participated in distance learning.

All other schools were open and were to follow the established schedule.

District Superintendent Kris Harrison said students and staff who had direct contact with the individual were contacted by the district, the Journal News said.
