Five Vie For Three Hastings School Board Seats

Hastings school board incumbents Jodie Meyer and Tim Baer run against Lauren Berman, Rob McQueen and Christina Mitchell.

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, NY - The five candidates who are running for three Hastings school board seats will speak at a forum on Thursday night.

The forum is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will take place at Hillside Elementary School's cafe. The League of Women Voters will moderate the forum.

The incumbent candidates are Jodie Meyer, who is running for a new full term, and Tim Baer, who joined the board in November to fill out an unexpired term for a vacant seat.

The challengers are Lauren Berman, Rob McQueen and Christina Mitchell.

Meyer's term ends on June 30 while Baer's interim time serving will expire shortly after the voting, which will be on Tuesday, May 16.

Voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will be held at Hastings High School's Cochran Gym.
