Greenburgh To Appoint Interim Board Trustee Wednesday

The appointee will be serving out the remainder of the term of Kevin Morgan, who died in April.

GREENBURGH, NY — A new interim Greenburgh town board member will be appointed Wednesday. Supervisor Paul Feiner said Ellen Hendrickx will serve until the end of the year.

He said she will not be seeking election to the position.

Feiner said Hendrickx will be serving out the remainder of the term of Kevin Morgan, who died in April.

Hendrickx has lived in the Town of Greenburgh for almost 20 years, Feiner said, the first 14 in the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson and the last six in unincorporated Greenburgh.

She has served as chairwoman of the Hastings-on-Hudson Democratic Committee since 2010 and was a district leader for about four years before that.

Hendrickx has served as a member of the Hastings Architectural Review Board and the Hastings-on-Hudson Comprehensive Plan Committee.

She served as a legislative aide to county Legislator MaryJane Shimsky.

Feiner said the appointment will be the first item on the agenda for Wednesday's meeting and will be followed by a short swearing-in ceremony.
