Hastings Memorial Day Parade To Honor Troops

The parade will honor a Marine major general, 25 Navy sailors and 25 Marines from a division.

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, NY - Hastings-on-Hudson's Memorial Day parade will honor a slew of militrary service members on Sunday, May 28.

The honorees will include Maj. Gen. John K. Love of the 2nd Marine Division; 25 Navy sailors from the USS Kearsarge in Norfolk, VA; and 25 Marines from Love's division, which is based in Camp Lejune, NC.

The parade is co-sponsored by the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson, the local VFW Post, the American Legion Post 1195 and the Hastings Fire Department.

Air Force Staff Sgt. Stanley Tauber will serve as the parade's grand marshall, while Jane Lovely will serve as the poppy girl.

The parade is scheduled to start at 2 p.m., at the intersection of Warburton Avenue and Main Street. More information is available here.
