Irvington Man Charged With Marijuana Possession

The Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force arrested 20-year-old on Jan. 9 for allegedly having eight bags of marijuana .
The Irvington resident was traveling on N. Broadway near Strawberry Lane when he was pulled over in his 2004 Toyota by police around 8:35 p.m. for a traffic stop. During the stop, police found that he was allegedly in possession of the pot, which weighed less than 25 grams.
He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, and was released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to return to court on Jan. 28.
