Irvington Stage Door Playwright Festival Seeking Manuscripts

Complete guidelines for submissions can be found on the theater's website.

IRVINGTON, NY — The Irvington Town Hall Theater is seeking submission of new works from playwrights. After three seasons of hosting innovative and compelling readings of new works by contemporary playwrights, organizers said, the series has evolved into a weekend festival. It will launch its inaugural year of the ITHT Stage Door Playwright Festival in November in the beautiful historic theater situated above town hall in Irvington.

“After seeing the enthusiastic response and interaction of audiences to original readings, we knew this was a vibrant and valuable opportunity for the playwright, audiences and our theater,” said theater festival Director Judith Klein Frimer.

“We are thrilled to expand on what we’ve learned in three seasons to support the creative process and create a destination where audiences will be entertained and educated by contributing to the process of developing new works,” she said.
