Police: Dobbs Ferry Teens Found with Beer, Marijuana in Hastings

A Dobbs Ferry teen was also charged with damaging village property with a paintball.

Two under 21 Dobbs Ferry residents were arrested November 8 after police received a complaint of air guns being shot off on a dead-end street.

Officers responded to Southside Avenue at about 10:45 p.m., where they arrested an 18-year-old Dobbs Ferry resident and charged him with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, an alcohol beverage container violation and damaging village property.

Police said the man was found with a plastic bag, which had a "roach" inside and a "distinct odor of marijuana." He also reportedly had a Budweiser beer.

He reportedly had also used a paintball gun to damage a village-owned sign.

A second, 17-year-old, Dobbs Ferry teenager was also arrested at the scene and charged with an ABC violation for allegedly being in possession of a beer with intent to consume.

Both were taken to police headquarters for processing and were released to a parent. The vehicle the two were in at the time of the alleged crimes was impounded.
