Pollinator Pathway Project Presents Speaker Dennis Haverkamp

Importance of Bees as Pollinators

As part of its “Living Classroom Series”, the Irvington Pollinator Pathway Project is holding its next public talk and presentation on bees and their role in the pollination of flowers, plants, shrubs and trees.

On Tuesday, November 13 at 7:00 p.m., Dennis J. Haverkamp of Bedford Bees will speak at the Irvington Public Library, 12 South Astor Street, Irvington, about the importance of bees in our local environment and of creating a habitat that will encourage honeybees and bumblebees to thrive. DJ is the owner of Bedford Bee Honeybee Service, is a member of the Backyard Beekeepers Association and the Eastern Apicultural Society, and teaches beekeeping at Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture.
