PTSA Film: Irvington Residents Support School Budget

  • The following is a note from the Irvington NY PTSA

Thirteen residents of Irvington's school district appear in a new two minute video supporting the proposed 2013-14 school district budget. The budget is one of four in Westchester that exceeds the recently imposed New York State tax cap.

In the Irvington PTSA's video, "Our Schools, Our Voices Video,
residents lay out the issues related to the budget and tax cap and encourage voters to head to polls at Main Street School on Tuesday, May 21st, 7 a.m.-9 p.m. to approve the budget.

After five years of cuts, the video states it's time to put the focus back on providing a strong educational setting for students, a core value of the Irvington community.  Produced at no cost to the PTSA by Irvington PTSA volunteers, the video is perhaps the first of its kind in the nation.
