Shocking Overnight Temps: Dobbs Ferry's Weekend Weather

DOBBS FERRY, NY — Lows drop into the mid-50s Friday night. That'll be a shock to the system! Then we'll get a partly cloudy day or so before storms hit us again.

"The weather does improve a bit for the weekend, things should dry out," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather on Facebook.

Now, about Florence.

"The models have very little agreement on where the hurricane is going to go," Potter said, noting "fear-mongering" in several media outlets. It's early — almost seven days away. "The storm does need to be monitored," he said.

Here's what the National Weather Service forecasts for the weekend in southern Westchester:

• Friday Night-A 30 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 61. North wind around 6 mph.
• Saturday-Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. Northeast wind around 10 mph.
• Saturday Night-A 20 percent chance of rain after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. Northeast wind 7 to 9 mph.
• Sunday-A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 67. East wind 10 to 13 mph.
• Sunday Night-A 50 percent chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 58.
