Sleepy Hollow St. Patrick’s Day Parade a Rivertowns Affair

The villages of Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Elmsford, Hastings-on-Hudson and Irvington are being invited to participate in the seventeenth annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Sleepy Hollow.

This year residents from the river villages will feel a swell of pride as officials from Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Elmsford, Hastings-on-Hudson and Irvington have all been invited to serve as aides in the seventeenth annual Sleepy Hollow St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

While the parade always is led by a grand marshal and eight aides who have served their communities—this year the Sleepy Hollow St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, led by Chair Tom Kennedy, decided to invite other local mayors, village board members and local officials to march with their village’s fire, police and ambulance corp. departments and other community groups in the parade.

Katherine “Kitty” Geissler, who just celebrated her 100th birthday, will again serve as the parade’s grand marshal, as she did at the first parade.
