Sprain Brook Parkway Lane Closures Expected

Motorists should anticipate delays and seek alternate routes where possible.

Motorists are advised that weekday, single and double lane closures are expected for the Sprain Brook Parkway between the Bronx River Parkway and the Interstate 287 interchange, beginning Monday, Aug. 27, through Tuesday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting.

The expected closures are in the City of Yonkers, the towns of Mount Pleasant and Greenburgh and the Village of Elmsford.

Northbound lane closures are expected to occur from Monday, August 27, to Tuesday, September 11. Southbound lane closure are expected to begin on Wednesday, September 12, and continue through, Tuesday, September 25.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
