Traffic Problems In Area Of White Plains Train Station Renovation
The Greenburgh police chief suggests taking alternative routes.

GREENBURGH, NY — Renovation of the White Plains Metro-North train station begins Wednesday, and Greenburgh Chief of Police Chris T. McNerney wants the public to know that it might cause problems for motorists. “We anticipate that the first phase of this project will cause severe traffic congestion on Route 119 for the next six weeks,” he said.
The project will include work on the two bridges that carry the trains over Main Street and Hamilton Avenue in White Plains, resulting in lane closures on both roads.
