Man Killed In Ardsley Motel Raid ID'd As Connecticut Resident
He shot at FBI and SWAT officers at the New York motel Monday night, police said. The Westchester DA is investigating.

UPDATE — New Haven police said the man taken into custody after the fatal shoot-out last night at the Ardsley Arms was Darryl Donell Henry of New Haven. Henry, 55, has a New Haven robbery warrant and is a suspect in several New Haven bank robberies.
Found with Henry and Galberth was Jeffon Suggs of New Haven, that city's police announced. The 26-year-old woman was also arrested for Connecticut warrants.
ARDSLEY, NY — A man who shot at FBI agents and a local SWAT team at the Ardsley Acres motel Monday night has been identified as Samuel Galberth of West Haven, Connecticut. Galberth was killed in the shoot-out, in which two local police officers were wounded.

The agents were trying to serve several out-of-state warrants, said Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino.
Galberth was being sought in connection with more than one investigation in Connecticut and elsewhere, he said. A second man who was with Galberth at the motel was arrested on another interstate warrant for bank robbery.

The DA's office is investigating what took place.
“The FBI called the District Attorney’s Office last night to report a police-involved shooting at the Ardsley Acres Motel in Ardsley adjacent to the Saw Mill River Parkway," Scarpino said in a statement. "Prosecutors immediately went to the scene where the FBI with the Greenburgh Police Task Force...What took place at the scene in Ardsley is the subject of our investigation. Our Office will continue to consult with the New York Attorney General’s Office as the investigation continues."
Galberth, 42, was pronounced dead at Westchester County Medical Center.
Two officers were injured in the shoot-out, both sergeants, one from the Greenburgh Police Department and one from Dobbs Ferry.
"They were treated and released from the hospital. We wish them a speedy and thorough recovery," Scarpino said. "At this time, we want to commend the brave FBI agents and police officers who responded and put themselves in harm’s way to protect the people of Westchester County."
