HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Showers and possible thunderstorms Friday in the Hudson Valley will be accompanied by strong winds.
The National Weather Service has issued wind advisories for the region.
For Dutchess, Ulster and Columbia counties, the advisory is in effect from noon to midnight Friday.

The forecast calls for west winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
For Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties, the advisory begins at 2 p.m. Friday and expires at midnight.
