3 Hit-And-Run Crimes Reported In Rockville Centre Last Week: PD
A woman's parked car was also broken into and her pocketbook was stolen, police said.
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — As part of their weekly crime report, Rockville Centre police said there was a string of incidents from May 19 to May 23, including three leaving the scene reports last weekend.
- A woman's pocketbook was stolen from her parked vehicle from a lot on Peninsula Boulevard, police said. The vehicle's window was shattered Saturday afternoon, detectives said.
- A driver's vehicle sustained damage to its hood, police said. The vehicle was parked overnight at a lot near North Centre Avenue on May 19, detectives said.
The three hit-and-run incidences last week were:
- On May 21 in the overnight hours, a vehicle struck a gas station fuel pump on Sunrise Highway, and the driver left the scene, police said. Police said there were no injuries.
- A woman's vehicle was hit by a car while she was on Peninsula Boulevard on Saturday afternoon, police said.
- On Sunday evening, a driver's vehicle was struck on Sunrise Highway, police said.
