Bonefish Grill Slated for November Opening

Construction ready to begin after razing of former RKO Theater.

After the long-awaited demolition of the long-shuttered RKO Theater on Sunrise Highway, Bonefish Grill is getting ready to make its appearance in Rockville Centre.

Village Mayor Francis Murray confirmed Tuesday that a grand opening will likely take place in November.

“I believe November is their target to open,” Murray told Patch.

The RKO Theater, located at 340 Sunrise Highway, had been abandoned for more than seven years after it closed its doors in January of 2006.

The theater was torn down after the village board unanimously voted in favor of the restaurant’s arrival back in April.

Bonefish Grill is a seafood restaurant based out of Tampa, Fla., with more than 100 restaurants across the country.
