The children had their writing assignment turned into a book for class.

SOUTH HEMPSTEAD, NY — First grade students at Covert Elementary School can call themselves authors!

The class, led by teacher Mrs. Frangatos, recently celebrated with a party for the publishing of books they wrote in class, the Rockville Centre School District tweeted.

Each book was bound and had a cover design featuring a drawing from each child.
