Crime Watch: Arrests for Harassment, Governmental Obstruction

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest

  • David T. Cavallo, 28, of Rockville Centre, was arrested on Oct. 23 at 12:48 a.m. for fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment following an investigation by police personnel at his Windsor Avenue residence.

  • Angela D. McCallum, 37, of Rockville Centre, was arrested on Oct. 23 at 11:45 a.m. for third-degree robbery following an alleged shoplifting investigation at King Kullen, located at 127 Sunrise Highway.

  • Michael Benn, 46, of Rockville Centre, was arrested on Oct. 25 at 11:57 a.m. for second-degree obstructing governmental administration, second-degree criminal contempt and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following an investigation by police personnel at his Banks Avenue residence.

  • Kenneth L. Hoursey, 35, of Grand Avenue, Baldwin, was arrested on Oct. 26 at 12:14 a.m. for a Nassau County bench warrant for driving while intoxicated following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Randall Avenue and Municipal Parking Field #2.

  • Alcohol Beverage Control Violation

    • A 61-year-old Rockville Centre resident was issued an appearance ticket on Oct. 21 at 8:58 p.m. for sale of alcohol to a person less than 21 years following an investigation by police personnel at Rockville Centre Food Center, located at 6-8 South Park Ave.

    Unauthorized Use

    • A complainant from Windsor Avenue reported to police on Oct. 27 at 1:35 p.m. that sometime since Oct. 19, a former boyfriend has possessed her 1999 Jeep motor vehicle without permission.

    Property Lost

    • A complainant from Oceanside reported to police on Oct. 26 that on June 15, he lost a Rockville Centre Fire Department Minoter pager valued at $300 while in the vicinity of Morris Avenue and Maple Avenue.

    Found Property

    • A complainant from Hampshire Road reported to police on Oct. 26 at 3:12 p.m. that he found a pink Mongoose bicycle in the yard of the residence.
