Crime Watch, Part II: Car Stolen in Village Lot

Larceny

  • On Tuesday, May 14 at 7 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 7 a.m. and 6:45 p.m., an unknown person(s) stole a black men’s Mongoose road bicycle valued at $200 that was secured to a bicycle rack at the LIRR station vicinity of Front Street and N. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre.
  • On May 16 at 12:35 p.m., a complainant from Central Islip reported that an unknown person stole an Apple iPhone valued at $800 from his van while working on Strathmore Lane in Rockville Centre.
  • On May 16 at 8:22 p.m., a complainant from East Rockaway reported that sometime between 10:30 p.m. on May 15 and 10 a.m. May 16, an unknown person(s) stole her 2005 Honda motor vehicle while parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 2A in Rockville Centre.
  • On May 20 at 11:57 a.m., a complainant from Jamaica reported that sometime since April 1, an unknown person(s) entered a locked storage unit at Public Storage, located at 484 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre, and stole 20 boxes of miscellaneous property and damaged an antique dresser.
Property Damage
  • On May 20 at 6:10 p.m., a complainant from Brooklyn reported that his 2008 Buick motor vehicle was damaged by a tow truck while at Karp Buick, located at 400 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.
Property Lost
  • On May 18 at 4:52 a.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that sometime since 3:35 a.m., he lost a wallet containing NYS identification and Chase debit card while at Kasey’s, located at 23 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.
Found Property
  • On May 13 at 8:39 p.m., a complainant from Lakeview Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that he found a gray Huffy mountain bicycle on his property.
