Crime Watch, Part Two: Multiple Items Stolen From Unlocked Cars

Larceny

• On Dec. 18 at 5:43 p.m., a Valley Stream resident reported that on 12/12/12 sometime between 6 and 7 p.m., unknown person(s) stole his wallet from a locker at Bally’s, located at 60 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.
• On Dec. 19 at 10:22 p.m., a Powell Avenue resident reported that sometime between 4 and 5:30 p.m., unknown person(s) stole two delivery packages from in front of her residence.
• On Dec. 20 at 10:43 a.m., a Winding Road resident reported that sometime between midnight and 10 a.m., unknown person(s) stole two Apple iPods from his unlocked motor vehicle parked in his driveway.
• On Dec. 20 at 4:05 p.m., a Garden City resident reported that an unknown male subject stole an Apple iPad from his unlocked motor vehicle parked at 77 N. Centre Avenue in Rockville Centre.
• On Dec. 21 at 11:42 a.m., a Fenway resident reported that unknown person(s) stole her GPS device from her unlocked motor vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of her residence.   

ID Theft

• On Dec. 22 at 1:35 p.m., a Lynbrook resident reported that unknown person(s) used her credit card information to make fraudulent purchases.

Fire

• On Dec. 19 at 7:41 PM, a Lakeview Avenue resident reported a fire on the first floor of the residence. Rockville Centre Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire was non-suspicious in nature.
