Feb. 11: Weekend Planner, House Hunt and Free Teen Skating

Thank goodness it's Friday! The weekend is finally here, so as you plan out how you're spending your weekend, let us tell you what's happening in and around the village so that you can start your weekend off right.

1. Are you looking for a new home in Rockville Centre? Check out House Hunt, our thorough guide to this weekend's open houses in the village, when it posts at 10 a.m.

2. If you got kids between the ages of 10-14 who want to have some fun on a Friday night, take them down to Hot Skates, the Merrick Road skate rink on the border of Lynbrook and Rockville Centre. From 7-9:30 p.m., kids skate for free! Adults are not allowed during the teen skate, though adult chaperones are permitted.

3. Did you start planning your weekend yet? Our  highlights some fun events happening in and around Rockville Centre. 

4. The  girl's varsity basketball team already clinched the Conference A-II crown with a win over Lawrence on Tuesday. Now the boy's team plays today at Sewanahaka with a chance to win a conference title of its own, and No. 2 seed in the playoffs. They play at Sewanhaka at 4:30 p.m. Come down and support the Cyclones!
