Funeral Arrangements Set For RVC Teen Who Died In Jet Ski Crash
Those who wish to pay their respects will be able to do so later this week.

Funeral arrangements have been set for Caitlin Rose McDonald, who died in a jet ski crash on Sunday.
McDonald died Sunday morning when the jet ski she was riding in Baldwin Harbor collided with 35-foot motorboat. Police are still investigating and have not yet said what caused the crash.
A wake for McDonald will be held at Glynn and Sons Funeral Home, located at 20 Lincoln Ave. in Rockville Centre, on Thursday, July 18. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday, July 19 at St. Agnes Cathedral, followed by a burial at Holy Rood Cemetery in Farmingdale.
McDonald was a lover of music, and incorporated it into her life. Last summer, she earned her Girl Scout Gold Award — the highest honor a Girl Scout can achieve, equivalent to an Eagle Award in the Boy Scouts — and based it around music. McDonald spent more than 80 hours planning and executing her project, which she called "Little Maestros."

She worked to educate Rockville Centre about the positive impact music can have on a child's growth. She hosted several educational session for parents at the Rockville Centre library. The program was so successful that it was adopted by the Baldwin Library.
McDonald was a student at Loyola University. During her time at South Side High School, she was a member of the music, Spanish and science honor societies, as well as a member of the school's band and orchestra.
