Honoring Independence Day With A Parade In Seaford

SEAFORD, NY — To celebrate the country's 245th birthday, Seaford is scheduling a parade for July 3.

Those participating should gather at 8:45 a.m. at the Seaford Cinemas parking lot. It's located on Merrick Road at Washington Avenue.

The three-quarter of a mile route will take people north to the Seaford LIRR gazebo, the Chamber of Commerce said on its Facebook page.

As an extra perk, bagels will be provided at the parade's conclusion, the online post said.

The community Independence Day parade is also organized by the Seaford Wellness Council.
