Dunn will leave the Washington Spirit to play for Chelsea FC.

Crystal Dunn, Long Island's soccer star from Rockville Centre, is announced to be moving overseas to play with the Chelsea FC, ending her current run with the US's Washington Spirit.
In her short professional career, Dunn has racked up a long list of achievements. She was the No. 1 draft pick in 2014 for the National Women's Soccer League, and won the organization's Golden Boot award in 2015.
The 24-year-old has played for the United States in the previous matches and in the Rio Olympics. She was one of five finalists for the U.S. Soccer Association's Female Players of 2016.

"It’s a big personal challenge for me but I am ready to take this next step in my career," Dunn said in a statement. "Playing for Chelsea is a unique opportunity for me to take my game to another level and I think the moment is right.
"I’m excited because Chelsea has a large fanbase and their relationship with the men’s team alone is just incredible," she added. "I’m looking forward to the games and to seeing all the fans who come out and support and hopefully we can all help add to the growth of women's football in England."
