Major Drug Arrest, Bedknobs & Broomsticks

• Local Doctor Arrested: A Baldwin-based doctor was arrested Tuesday morning after an investigation by the Rockville Centre Police Department (RVCPD) discovered that the doctor had allegedly been illegally prescribing addictive painkillers to patients.
• Leggz Roadies: On July 28, the Leggz Ltd. Dance Ensemble assisted the band Antigone Rising at their concert in Nickerson Beach. The Leggz dancers got to learn how to be roadies for a real band!  The girls unloaded the band, helped set them up, broke down the concert and then loaded all the equipment back into the van. • Library Movie: Cool down on Wednesdays during the summer by coming to the Rockville Centre Library for an exciting movie. This week's film is Bedknobs & Broomsticks, G 139 mins. The movie starts at 2:30 p.m. in the Helen Kraus Room.
• Weather: From the National Weather Service, during the day: "Sunny, with a high near 81. North wind 5 to 9 mph becoming south in the afternoon." At night: "Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. South wind 5 to 9 mph."
