Michael Dolan, 29-Year-Old Firefighter, Dies From Cancer
The young firefighter was remembered as being extremely generous and always willing to help others.
Michael Dolan, a 7-year member of the Baldwin Fire Department, died on March 7 after a year-long fight with lung cancer. He was 29 years old.
Dolan was born and raised in Baldwin, and dedicated himself to the volunteer fire service when he was 22 years old. He had spent seven years serving as a Firefighter First Grade in Hose Company Number 4 at the North Fire Station.
Dolan's dedication to the fire service inspired his mother, Bobbi, a nurse, to join the First Aid Company.
