The Rockville Centre institution was also listed No. 31 nationally, according to a survey by College Factual.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Molloy College has been named the top Roman Catholic College in New York state. The survey, which comes from College Factual, also indicates Molloy's national ranking was 31, higher than any other Catholic college in the state.

"We are pleased to be named one of the top Catholic colleges in the country, as well as the highest ranked Catholic college in New York State," Dr. James Lentini, the college’s president, said in a statement. "This recognition from College Factual is important, because they focus on key criteria that include post-graduation earnings, the freshmen retention rate, the graduation rate and the student-faculty ratio as key components of their rankings. This recognition speaks to the true value of a Molloy education and is a tribute to the dedication, talent and student-focused vision of the entire Molloy team."

Molloy, founded in 1955, has approximately 4,800 undergraduate and graduate students.
