No Train Service Between Rockville Centre, Babylon This Weekend
There will be buses traveling between the two stations, but riders are recommended to take different branches if possible.

This weekend, train service will be suspended between Babylon and Rockville Centre as the LIRR performs "critical work" in Freeport.
There will be no train service between Babylon and Rockville Centre on Feb. 29 and March 1. Instead, there will be bus service between the two. In addition, train service from Rockville Centre to Penn Station will be reduced to hourly trains.
The MTA says that the work could increase travel time by up to 45 minutes, so travelers should plan accordingly. Here are the full effects:

Westbound: Customers at stations Babylon through Baldwin will board buses to Rockville Centre, then transfer for hourly train service to points west. Customers at Babylon Station can board a limited number of westbound Montauk Branch trains that will operate via the Central Branch through Hicksville to points west.
Eastbound: Board hourly trains to Rockville Centre, then transfer for bus service to stations Baldwin through Babylon.

To avoid the transfers and delays, the LIRR strongly recommends that customers take trains on alternate branches. To lessen the impact to riders, the LIRR will be increasing service on the Ronkonkoma Branch and add cars to Montauk Branch trains for the weekend.
