Lastly, The Macabre Faire Grim Gathering Halloween Extravaganza is coming to Best Western Hotel from Oct. 19-21.
- Our weekly "Crimes Nearby" column posts today at 2 p.m. Come back then for a look at crime in towns surrounding RVC, including a stabbing at a local high school football game last week.
- In case you missed it, the South Side Cyclones girls varsity volleyball team raised a lot of money for the fight against breast cancer earlier this week. Click here to see how much they raised and learn how you can donate.
- The South Side boys soccer team will look to build on its major upset of Jericho this week when the Cyclones host Roslyn at 4:30 p.m. at Skelos Field this afternoon. Meanwhile, the first-place girl soccer team travels to Division for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff. And just in case there wasn't enough to do this weekend, the football team hosts Division Saturday at 2 p.m. in an attempt to avoid a two-game losing streak.
