• The Herbert Tenzer Five Towns Democratic Club will host a meeting on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. with the Democrats running for office in the Town of Hempstead.
  
• The Jewish holiday of Sukkot begins Wednesday at sundown.
  
• The Malverne Community Theatre will present A Night of Improv on Friday at 8 p.m.
