Part Of Lakeview Avenue To Be Repaved This Week

The county is repaving a half-mile stretch of the road, which could cause delays in the area.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Nassau County will be repaving a half-mile stretch of Lakeview Avenue this week, which will cause some delays in the area.

The county will be repaving the road from Peninsula Boulevard to Morris Avenue. The work will be done in the overnight hours of Sept. 23 and 24, from 9 p.m .to 6 a.m. The village said the work is being don overnight to avoid disruptions to St. Agnes, Watson and South Side Middle schools.

There will be personnel to help residents who live on the road access their driveways, although there could be delays.
