Rockville Centre's Turn Of The Corkscrew To Close
The book store and wine bar will close its doors on June 15. There's currently a liquidation sale going on.

Turn of the Corkscrew Books and Wine, one of Rockville Centre's unique businesses, is closing its doors.
The store was the dream of Peggy Zieran and Carol Hoenig, who turned to crowdfunding in 2014 to help them get their dream off the ground. The store, a book store and wine bar, opened in 2015, but often struggled.
In addition to books and wine, the store hosted events and author readings for the community.

"As hard as we worked these last four years to bring a bookstore/wine bar to the community, one that brought you events, workshops, and a place to gather for meetings and discussions, it wasn’t enough to keep us afloat," the owners wrote on Facebook. "With that said, we are sad to announce that we will be closing."
Turn of the Corkscrew will be officially closing its doors for the last time on June 15. Until then, the store will be having a clearance sale, with 50 to 75 percent off most items. In addition, most of the shelves and cooking equipment in the store is also up for sale.

The owners wrote that they would be unable to fulfill the requests of people who wanted specific books ordered.
"Thanks to everyone who has supported us," Zieran and Hoenig wrote on Facebook. "If you’re interested, please continue to support us by helping liquidate the merchandise and fixtures."
