Somethings Never Change!!

We have been residents of the village for over 40 years and things get worse every year. The recent decision to not renew Chief Gennario's contract is unconscionable. After serving the village for 32 years and being offered a position as lieutenant is absurd. Was this a decision reached by the mayor himself or the board of trustees as a whole. The bottom line as always in Rockville Centre is there are always backdoor deals to appeaze the few and to hell with everyone else. The board of trustees should take a long hard look at downtown RVC at all the bars and underage drinking it brings. The police department is stretched paper thin for a long time managing the bars and the fallout from the kids they attract. I cant remember the last time my wife and I shopped here for clothing or household items however if we want a drink not a problem. This tax year marks the end of the state and local tax deduction capped at 10,000 dollars. It will be interesting to see how vibrant the downtown will be going forward. The main reason until proven wrong is Gennaro's contract was not renewed is some with the mayors ear were not happy with the recent not guilty verdict of an innocent man. Someone had to be fed to the wolves as always as there political pressure and influence with the district attorney did not go there way. I sincerly hope the mayor and board would consider not running for re election the smell has always been the same, it stinks.
