Veterans Day Ceremony, Helping Disabled Residents During Disasters

Here are some things coming up this week:

• The village will host a Veterans Day Ceremony at the recreation center on Monday at 10:30 a.m.
• Schools will be closed on Monday in observance of Veterans Day.
• South Side Middle School will host a fall sports awards ceremony on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
• The Rockville Centre Youth Council, along with Molloy College and others, will host a community forum to discuss a plan of action for disabled residents during disasters on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the library.
  
• Dr. Xenophon Xenophontos, section chief of the Department of Vascular Surgery at Mercy Medical Center, will discuss therapies for free on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
