Watch: Recovering Coronavirus Patient Leaves Hospital To Song

OCEANSIDE, NY — As Long Island continues to battle the coronavirus pandemic, an unofficial anthem for those who recover and are discharged from the hospital has been playing in hospitals across Long Island.

Earl Davis was admitted to Mount Sinai South Nassau hospital on March 31, positive for COVID-19. Last Thursday, he left to finish recovering at home.

In the video clip, Davis can be seen saying it feels wonderful to go home and thanking "the wonderful staff," who treated him.

Different songs have become de facto anthems of positivity in hospitals hard-hit by the virus. At Mount Sinai the Beatles classic "Here Comes The Sun" plays every time a coronavirus patient is discharged.
