Wind Advisory Issued for Long Island
BREAKING: Tree limbs and branches may be downed; power outages possible, National Weather Service says.
Remember that summer-like weather earlier this week? Well, it's long gone and Mother Nature is punishing us with a nasty Saturday.
A wind advisory will be in effect from 2 p.m. Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday on Long Island. Sustained winds of 20-30 mph, along with gusts up to 50 mph, are expected, the National Weather Service says.
The strongest wind gusts are likely late Saturday afternoon into the early evening. The wind has the potential to down tree limbs, blow around unsecured outdoor objects and cause isolated power outages, according to the NWS.

Saturday is not a great day for pumpkin picking, but you may want to check out some haunted houses in the area. See our haunted house guide here.
