14-Car Crash On I-95 Ties Up Morning Commute
Police said icy conditions were present at the time of the crash.
RYE, NY — Southbound Interstate 95 in Rye was shut down Wednesday morning due to a 14-car crash.
The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. between Exits 21 and 22, the Journal News reported.
All lanes were reopened about an hour and a half later.

State police said construction work on the interstate caused flooding and then icy conditions, News 12 reported.
Two people with minor injuries were taken to the hospital.

Traffic was backed up beyond Stamford, Connecticut.
