Accident On I-95 Monday Snarled Traffic: UPDATE

UPDATE: A car and tractor-trailer were involved in an accident around 11:30 a.m. Monday on I-95 in the area of Rye Playland Parkway. Two people were sent to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries and all lanes of the interstate were reopened a little more than an hour later.

RYE, NY — An accident on I-95 Monday has traffic slowed in the area of Playland Parkway. The state DOT said the accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on the northbound lanes of I-95 between Exit 19 - Rye - Playland Parkway and Exit 20 - Rye - Route 1.

State police are on the scene of the crash which involves multiple vehicles, including a tractor-trailer, lohud.com said.
