Accidental Drowning Near Rye Playland
Police said signs are posted in the area that swimming is not allowed.
RYE, NY — A man died near Rye Playland in what looked like an accidental drowning, police said. It happened around 7:15 p.m. Friday.
The 21-year-old man was not identified by authorities, News 12 reported.
He was removed from the water prior to police arriving. EMS personnel were trying to resuscitate him.

The drowning occurred in an area of the Playland property near the Edith Reed Sanctuary property, myrye.com said.
"No swimming" signs are posted in the area.
