Boston Post Rd Bridge Over I-95 To Close July 6 Through September
The New York State Thruway Authority anticipates closing the heavily used bridge beginning on Tuesday through the end of August.
RYE, NY — City officials are telling drivers to expect heavy traffic delays in the coming weeks as a New York Thruway Authority roadwork project closes the Boston Post Road Bridge over I-95.
The planned closing of the bridge spanning the New England Thruway will create headaches for motorists traveling between Port Chester and Rye, but local officials say the resulting backups will likely also cause congestion and delays throughout the area. Traffic tie-ups are expected downtown, near the I-287 ramp, on Midland Avenue, Cedar Street, Purdy Avenue and Peck Avenue.

The bridge connecting Rye and Port Chester will likely remain closed until September. (City of Rye)
