Company Running Playland Wants To Add Rides, Restaurants

Whether or not it all comes to fruition will be determined.

RYE, NY — Rye Playland could have some new features if the company that is under contract to Westchester County gets its way. Standard Amusements wants to bring back a roller coaster that was knocked down more than 60 years ago and add at least six new restaurants.

Whether any of it comes to fruition depends on County Executive George Latimer's administration push to renegotiate a contract agreed to during Rob Astorino's administration, the Journal News said.

A draft map posted on the Save Rye Playland Facebook page shows several new rides, attractions and seating areas.
