CT Man Accused Of Drunken Driving On I-287

Police said his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.22 percent.

RYE, NY — A Connecticut man was accused of driving while drunk. State police said, around 1:20 a.m. Saturday, a vehicle on I-287 in the Town of Rye was stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation.

The driver of the vehicle, Edens Joseph, 38, Stamford, Connecticut, was found to be intoxicated, police said.

He was taken into custody and processed at the New Rochelle barracks where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.22 percent.

Joseph was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and several vehicle and traffic violations.

He was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Rye Court Jan. 29.
