Holocaust Education Center Moves Benefit To Rye
It's the 22nd annual benefit for the HHREC.

RYE, NY — The Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center will hold its annual benefit in Rye this year. It's the 22nd annual benefit but only the first time at the Westchester Country Club.
The organization will honor Spencer Barback, partner at Citrin Cooperman, and recognize Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr.
WHAT: HHREC's annual benefit. Hors d’oeuvres, small plates,cocktails and dessert will be served, followed by a program.

The Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center’s mission is to enhance the teaching and
learning of lessons of the Holocaust and the right of all people to be treated with dignity and
respect. Some of its programs and initiatives include:
- A Speakers Bureau, comprised of Holocaust Survivors and Liberators, who through first hand story telling reach over 25,000 students per year.
- Provide curriculum with key lessons from the Holocaust for educators to use in fulfilling the NYS mandate, as well as professional development workshops. Free downloads of a Holocaust curriculum to teachers from across the country.
- Train thousands of Middle and High School students in our Human Rights Institutes.
- Robust programs of Events and Distinguished Lectures.
