"Due to limited moisture, and a fast moving system, snowfall totals of 2 to 3 inches seem likely, with possibly only an inch or two in the northern Hudson Valley," they said.

The storm will move from southwest to northeast starting in the morning, and while the bulk of the snow will come between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., snow could be falling until around 9 p.m.
Snowfall rates could be over an inch an hour at times, the NWS warns.
