I-287 Driver In Rye Was More Than Twice The Legal Limit: Troopers
A New York City man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after being pulled over in Rye this weekend.
RYE, NY — A traffic stop in the early morning hours on Sunday ended with the driver under arrest for driving with a blood alcohol content (BAC) more than twice the legal limit, New York State Police said today.
Troopers pulled over the vehicle on I-287 in Rye at just after 3 a.m. for equipment and traffic violations. It soon became apparent that the driver, Fermin Gonzalez, was intoxicated, according to police. Authorities said his BAC was later found to be .18 percent, more than double the New York State legal limit of .08 percent.
Gonzalez was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated.

The 47-year-old was taken into custody and later released to a sober third party. The New York City resident will face a Town of Rye Court judge on May 12.
