Kids Smashing Pumpkins, Throwing Trash Cans on Rye-Harrison Game Weekend
Items from the Rye police blotter from Oct. 18-20, the weekend of the Rye-Harrison game (Rye won), which is always accompanied by higher reports of complaints about teens.

Kids reported being threatened while they were at the Rye Free Reading Room on the Village Green on Oct. 18 at 6:14 p.m. Â
A group of about 40 to 50 kids were reported for throwing garbage cans around on Forest Avenue on Oct. 19 at 8:49 p.m. The kids dispersed when police arrived.Â
A domestic dispute on Wainwright Street was called in to police on Oct. 19 at 9 p.m. but it was kids playing football.

A caller reported a group of about 15 to 20 kids breaking pumpkins on Halstead Place and Rye Beach Avenue on Oct. 19 at 9:51 p.m. The kids were gone when police arrived.
A caller reported a group of people congregating in a complex, possibly drinking and making noise on Theodore Fremd Avenue on Oct. 19 at 10:40 p.m. The group was gone when police arrived.

A group of kids were reported for crossing the train tracks in Rye on Oct. 20 at 12:58 a.m. Police worked with MTA police to and released the kids to their parents.Â
